PS: my question of the week!
What is the most common major at your college? (As in, which are the most frequent???)
ALSO, what were you doing September 11th, 2001?
PPS: ALSO, what is wrong with people on youtube? Are they all assholes? Because some jerk commented on my video from last week saying “Hey it’s Chris Farley” and I’m SURE it is because of my weight. GROW UP PEOPLE. I can’t just let it go because it does hurt and I shouldn’t care what some jerk on youtube says. It’s not easy to forget things like that. I haven’t been made fun of for my weight since grade school… Maybe that’s not what he meant but that’s the first thing I thought of. People can be so cruel. :( Way to go, jerks of the world. Way to bring me down.
AND SERIOUSLY, did he think others were going to come over and agree and laugh and agree with him? What a pig.
ETA: And just had a lovely comment conversation with him on said video. Just as I thought. I don’t take that as a compliment. UGH. Way to get myself riled up before I go to bed…
OMG I AM SO BUSY.
Did I say that last week too? I think it’s a trend. Sorry my video was LAAAAME. There wasn’t a lot to respond to vlog wise, though. That was probably the quickest vlog I’ve made yet! I believe I started at 12:15. I finished at 12:45!!! It’s a Thursday miracle!!
Here’s a video of my mad clarinet skillz (also on facebook…)
Here’s my vlog for the week…
What classes am I taking? Let’s see… (complements of facebook, haha!)
For good measure, here’s a picture of “Edward Cullen” (you know, just to get those hits up, haha!!! I HAVE NO SHAME!!!)
AND here is that Twilight Spam I wanted to tell you all about!!! It’s HILARRIBLE (but totally in an awesome way!)
CLEOLINDA MOVIES AND BOOK RECAPS. They make my day bright and shiny.
ALSO, GROWING UP CULLEN. It is SOOO HILARRIBLE I can hardly move. Obviously with that link, start with the earliest posts. I WARN YOU: LANGUAGE AND CRUDE JOKES. Also Twilight jokes about Edward being an emo sparklepire. You will love it even if you haven’t read the books. HOWEVER, you might want to start with the Cleolinda recaps if you’ve never read Twilight. Just a thought.
Okay, some lolcats…
LOVE YOU ALL!!!!! Have a great week!

Right now, I am sitting with a bunch of dirty boys. So dirty, I refuse to make a video.
So I freaked out this morning and thought it was Wednesday and that I had totally missed my post. Like all day until I got home, I was freaking out. Then I got home – like at 1500 – and relized it was only Tuesday. I just about died in self-humiliation.
So since everyone else is talking about school, my classes for the first trimester are English 105: Journalism, Art 100: Intro to Visual Fundamentals, and English 270: Reform & Renaissance (some American Lit class). My books are going to cost me around $150.00 with my bookstore discount, but I will probably buy some online. I will also spend $150.00 – $200.00 on art supplies. BUT, I still don’t start classes until the 22nd…. so, whatever.
Life still = work and hanging out with some friends. And lots of random sleep patterns.
I have been thinking a lot about study abroad lately and I am getting super excited about it. My school is well-known for its statistics (85% go abroad) and most is covered by tuition, scholarships, and financial aid, so it is pretty expected that I will go. I was a little undecided, but I am positive that I am going, and I want to go to Scotland. That way I can easily get to London or France (thank you, the chunnel) for winter break. So, I was wondering what everyone else thought about study abroad. How does your school deal with it? Can you go? Do you want to go? Where would you go?
Maggie – I can’t say I forget anything, especially with my house so close to my school. I have also lived in a dorm all year, so I haven’t had to take things home and re-pack. Whenever I need (more like want) anything, I head to Target, Wal*Mart, or Meijer’s (yay for Meijer’s).
The Word of the Week:
precocious • \prih-KOH-shus\ • adjective
- 1 : exceptionally early in development or occurrence
- *2 : exhibiting mature qualities at an unusually early age
Example Sentence:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a precocious child who, by the age of five, was already composing his first musical pieces.
Did you know?
“Precocious” got started in Latin when the prefix “prae-,” meaning “ahead of,” was combined with the verb “coquere,” meaning “to cook” or “to ripen,” to form the adjective “praecox,” which means “early ripening” or “premature.” By 1650, English speakers had turned “praecox” into “precocious” and were using it especially of plants that produced blossoms before their leaves came out. By the 1670s, “precocious” was also being used to describe humans who developed skills or talents before others typically did.
*Indicates the sense illustrated in the example sentence.
Did you already know the meaning of precocious? I’ve heard it, but I don’t know if I knew what it meant….
That’s all I really have
loves.
PS. Anyone else love the 12 chapters of Midnight Sun? This nerd does and she can’t wait for the rest because, honestly, Stephenie Meyer needs to write the rest of it. The leak is just stirring up press. Someone thinks “the leak” is just a strategic move…
(check Stephenie’s homepage under Midnight Sun if you don’t know what I am talking about
