HELLO! This is my last post from St. Louis for the summer! Woot!
I was actually productive today! I sorted and packed 95% of my clothes (the last 5% being in my hamper which was washed after I packed). I am bringing considerably less clothes than the last two years. I think I left two entire tubs out this time. This is a miracle. A packing miracle!!! I think there are still some clothes up there in storage but I can’t imagine what I left behind besides my coats and scarves (I have a puffy ski coat and a pea coat). I know I left my TV and DVD player up there along with my spinny desk chair (which I am greatly considering sending home with my parents – the stupid chair is so big!) There are also towels and a big fluffy robe I never use. Maybe my comforter? I have a feeling I left it there but at the same time I think it might be up by our front door… I’m not sure.
My trip up to Chicago Saturday will probably involve sleeping (since we’re leaving at 5 AM), reading (finishing Breaking Dawn because I’m sure I won’t read it in the next two days), knitting (I have to start/finish my BFF’s knitted ring for her 21st birthday AND work on my shawl AND work on my dolls for the ravelympics [which are the knitting olympics on my knitting website!]). Oh, and I’ll be snacking on cheese crackers. Five hour car rides, FTW!
QUESTIONS FOR EVERYONE: How long is your commute to college? What do you do in the car to amuse yourself?
My dad and I also went on a hunt for yarn and a bag to hold my yarn stash. My knitting life fits neatly into a laundry basket.

Brittany, you’re stealing all the awesome in the world by seeing Spring Awakening and Avenue Q. Have too much fun, okay? lol!
Here’s my video!!!
For your own listening pleasure: Laconic. :) I love how she says it…
Uhm… Everyone keeps thinking of things that we should do for funsies as a group and I feel that I should contribute my own sort of challenge, somehow. I will have to think about it. I’m adding my own thing with the lolcats but… I want something for everyone! *begins thinking*
Okay – have a great rest of the week and I’ll see you in the comments or next Thursday!!!
~Love, Megan!
PS: OMG. I didn’t mention Twilight at all!! MIRACLE OF MIRACLES! SHOOT. I just thought of something to say about it now but it can wait for next week. Goodness knows I’ll STILL think it’s hilarious then. You’ll have to wait to seeeeee!
PPS: I have a whole SLEW of lolcats! I will link to them because they are so full of awesome that they will flood this post…

Another week gone by… This next week we should have everyone back together!!!!! Hooray!
I expect both Brittany and Katie to do all the challenges assigned to them while they were gone… bwahaha!
Katie, your challenge for me is complete. I read Twilight. And I really liked it. I bought New Moon. I plan to buy the others. With gift cards. Short sentences are dramatic. They also show my feeling for being enamored with this book. I will, however, resist the temptation to add any Twilight flair on facebook… I have one, but only because it was connected to Harry Potter (Jacob Black = Remus Lupin + Sirius Black’s love child) HA! Yesterday I watched the trailer for the movie and I don’t like how it’s inaccurate already, haha. However, Bella, Alice and Edward are almost like I pictured them. I must admit that I had seen a picture of Edward from the movie before reading the book but it wasn’t an intentional connection. Bella is the same, I suppose, but her nose is a bit different than I imagined. Superficial thinking, sorries, lol. However, I saw the actress for Alice and thought, “that MUST be Alice!” I imagined her a little smaller, with black, sleeker hair but her face is pretty spot on my imagination. I feel that the book was engaging and that’s why I liked it so much. And it’s a romance book. I was mislead by my imagination before I started reading and thought it was action with a little romance. I now see that it’s romance with a little action. But oh! The action! I was nearly hyperventilating at times, honest! Now I’ve started New Moon and it’s a little slow going for a couple reasons: time and sleep for me and angst in the book. Ohhhh the angst. That’s all for Twilight. Thanks for the challenge – it gave me an excuse to read this popular book I had complained about… Just like Harry Potter… ugh.
I’d like to thank our best commenters, Cheap Auto Insurance, Car Insurance, and Buy Select Drugs. They never fail to provide an awesome minute when I delete them from our spam counter. But seriously, thanks for reading the blogs, Emily! I agree that we need more readers – anyone want to advertise? I’m too shy and I feel bad about the last time I was on the ning (lol) so if anyone else wants to take it upon themselves to go forth and spread the word, please do. I almost feel like we it would be easier to make a viral video of something else and then put a link to the project in the side bar or something. I don’t really want the irritating people that come with that, though. ”u r so lame!” or the more common, ”these #$%^& suck!!11!1! this is @#$%^ u $%^&U $%^&* #$%^ like $% %^&* $%#(^$ nerds!!1!1!!!1 lolz” I don’t want it… So, no viral video for us! :D
Last night was my church’s choir party. We made a couple dishes for it such as party/cheesy potatoes (whichever your region calls them, lol), cheesecake brownies (I think) and a green bean casserole (which I avoided, of course). There’s always singing and, luckily, they don’t beg me to sing something for them when I go now. I sort of don’t like going because it’s a bunch of people that ask me questions about school and all we do is eat and drink (nothing alcoholic for me yet, lol) and sit around in the heat. Not very fun. So I read New Moon most of the night… Here’s a clip from last year.
This afternoon I am seeing the ballet “Sleeping Beauty” and I am pretty excited for the music and the costumes and the dancing, of course! My mom got me free tickets because she works at a dance wear company that supplies for this dance studio, I suppose. I got three free (previously $35, I think) tickets and my friend Elisabeth, her boyfriend, Drew, and I are going together. I will see if I can get video of it for Thursday. Probably illegal but I will find a way (or a good alternative
)
Tomorrow I am going to a Cardinals game!!! I will definitely take pictures and video for Thursday. I’m also going to my dad’s singing competition where I am being forced to use my mac for recording purposes (and more space). Otherwise I would use my camera (which only has 26 minutes worth of video).
I really need to get on the ball with planning my trip to Chicago. I’m still hoping that I can ask my grandma for a loan so I can buy a new flute. I might do better to just ask for a loan for China (which paying for scares me greatly). It’s going to be an expensive year, I imagine.
Oh, my childhood pictures! Here are a few that I scanned. Slide was very convenient for this!
This new thing I found for the site is REALLY NEAT! Check out this page and look at the map of people! It has almost all of our locations! That is so neat! Mine is a little inaccurate because it says I’m from Florissant, MO (which is 45 minutes away) but oh well.
Challenge for the week: Show me a blast from your past (like Pokemon Cards, dolls, etc…)
LOVES!
~Megan/Thursday/Sub Sunday
PS: THE VIDEO WILL BE UP LATER TONIGHT – PROMISE!!! I RAN OUT OF TIME BEFORE THE BALLET!!
