EDIT AT THE BOTTOM.
Title is lyrics from a song. Ten points if you knew if without google ;D
First things first… challenges/video. Sorry for the delay. AND, I had a terribly hard time taking the shirts off, Maggie. I thought I was going to have to cut myself out of them.
Second… bloggish stuff.
This past weekend was spent with two set of fireworks, a bon fire or two, and a good amount of sand between my toes (one of my favorite things in the world). South Haven did have an amazing show for kids on this side of Michigan and the entire weekend was very nice and relaxing. A nice change of pace.
Yesterday, I received a package from Amazon containing New Moon and Eclipse. I am still undecided about Bella, am still hopelessly in love with Edward and his chivalry, and do not like Jacob… at all. Clearly, I am Team Edward or whatever it is, but I am not quite Team Bella. She still finds her way under my skin. It comes from the fact that I think deeply about her situations and can’t phantom why she does nearly everything she does. I condone her bravery in the second book and I can see improvements from the first to the third, but I still am not sure about her. I guess there is no option but to wait for Breaking Dawn. I am most excited though for Midnight Sun, because of the happiness Edward brings the romantic in me.
Third item on my list… movies. I saw “Hancock” yesterday and did enjoy it… mostly. It is a big action movie, much like “Wanted,” but Will Smith is one of my favorite actors. The romantic in me was a little upset by the ending and the open endness of it, but I did like the plot. It was a little predictable, but the concept was new and I enjoyed myself. The ending just left me… tweaked? I don’t know how to say it without ruining it. High action, good plot. If I graded it, I would say B, more than average, but not quite perfect.
I am going to cut this short, because I am not feeling to well and just feel like curling up with Mich Albom’s The Five People You Meet In Heaven and relaxing. (If you haven’t seen the film version or read the book, I recommend both. John Voight was amazing in the movie, and the movie stuck pretty closely to the book. If you don’t have a Y chromosome or an utmost tolerance for sadness, you may cry.)
Questions later (Katie asked something about music. I think that was it.) I can’t think of a response to any favorite music things, so I will get to it next week.
Train roll on, on down the line,
Won’t you please take me far away?
-Mae
EDIT: Next week, I will be posting a piece of fiction. It is very private, and will take most of my post, so if I could refrain from challenges, that would be awesome. Hopefully you guys will enjoy my post.
